Upon graduating from high school, I attended San Francisco State University where I majored in Interior Design. I have always had a passion for design and event planning and I believed the major would be a natural fit for me. Although interior design was an amazing major, San Francisco State University wasn’t the right fit for me. I transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno. I quickly fell in love with the campus and the people. Although UNR no longer had an Interior Design program, a business degree seemed a good second option. Joining the business school at UNR was amazing. Initially I majored in marketing, but when I started to take management classes I realized that management was the natural course for me. As a graduate of the School of Business with a degree in Management I am currently working as an intern for an event planning company, Hunter and Company, where I can tie in many of my business skills with my creativity.
Designing something is visionary, enjoyable and inspiring. It’s a way to express yourself and your individual creativity. I love making creative pieces for my home or for events. I have always had a eye for piecing different items together in order to make a beautiful new product. Upon making my own little pieces, working for a event planning and design company like Hunter and Company, has shown me that there are so many other ways to create wonderful and beautiful projects!
